IRWLE — The Indian Review of World Literature in English invites experienced academics and researchers to join its panel of peer reviewers. As a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal, the quality and integrity of our review process is central to our mission.
Why Become a Reviewer?
Peer reviewers play a vital role in shaping the direction of literary scholarship. By joining our panel, you will:
- Contribute to the advancement of world literature studies
- Stay current with emerging research in your areas of expertise
- Earn formal recognition in our journal’s acknowledgements
- Receive a certificate of review upon request, valuable for academic appraisals and promotion
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- University professors and associate/assistant professors in English, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, or related disciplines
- Independent scholars with a strong publication record
- Researchers specialising in any area of literature in English, including postcolonial, diaspora, feminist, ecocritical, or translation studies
What the Role Involves
- Reviewing one or two manuscripts per year (each 3,000–6,000 words)
- Providing a constructive written evaluation within 3–4 weeks of receiving a manuscript
- Assessing originality, academic rigour, clarity of argument, and relevance to the field
- All reviews are conducted on a double-blind basis — author and reviewer identities remain confidential

Please write to us at editor@worldlitonline.net with the subject line “Peer Reviewer Application” and include:
- Your full name and institutional affiliation
- Your academic designation and department
- A brief statement of your areas of specialisation (3–5 keywords)
- A link to your institutional profile or a short CV (2 pages maximum)
We will add you to our reviewer database and contact you when a manuscript matches your expertise. There is no obligation to accept every invitation.
